Announcement: THE BIG EUROPEAN TOUR PROJECT

Hevals, Comrades, Revolutionaries, With my new album Songs for Rojava now finished and available , I've had a bit of time to relax during the past week or so and think about my next move. Enter the Big European Tour Project. I want to take these songs (and others) on the road around Europe between April and September 2019, but I'm going to need a lot of help to make it happen. After putting the feelers out a couple of days ago, I now believe I have contacts in a few European countries who are willing to help arrange some gigs and bring my music about the Kurdish struggle and the Rojava revolution to their towns and cities. However, I want to make this tour as big as possible, and so if there are any other people out there who might be interested in arranging a show; read on. Which countries do I want to visit? All of them! I plan to travel from England in a Camper-van with a good friend and so we will be flexible when it comes to our stop-off destinations. It would

Songs for Rojava Crowdfunder - 6 Days To Go!!!

Hi folks, Just a quick one from me today as the weather is looking pretty good outside and I've just finished work.... so I want to get away from the computer. I hope you're all well and that you also plan to enjoy the sunshine today. I want to congratulate everyone who helped the HDP in the recent elections against the strong arm of fascist Turkey. While the election was a joke from start to finish, Erdogan still failed to suppress the Kurdish vote - well done! That brings me onto the purpose for this short blog post today. As most of you know, I am currently crowdfunding for my next album Songs for Rojava which is due out within the next couple of months. There are only 6 days to go on the crowdfunder, and I'm hoping that a few more people will contribute to help me reach the fundraising goal. Right now, the total sits at £385 which is fantastic! BLOG UPDATE: Songs for Rojava Crowdfunder

Hi everyone! I thought I'd better write a quick blog post to keep you all updated in the crowdfunder for my next album Songs for Rojava that should be finished and released sometime during the next couple of months. The crowdunder total stands at £310 as I write this blog post, which is pretty fantastic being as there are still sixteen more days to go to reach the target of £1000. I want to say a massive thank you to every single person who's contributed so far and who continues to support my music and my attempt to raise as much publicity and awareness for the situation in Kurdistan as possible. Songs for Rojava - Crowdfunder

Some of you may have seen via my social media pages that I've announced a brand new album project called "Songs for Rojava" due for release within the next two to three months. The aim of the project is to raise more awareness about the Kurdish struggle and the Rojava revolution, and the album will be available for FREE to absolutely everyone. There is going to be a CD version if you prefer that rather than a free download, and it will also be possible to stream the album on Spotify and iTunes, etc. However, I'm making the entire collection of songs and the artwork downloadable at no cost online so that Kurdish supporters and solidarity campaign groups can burn copies of the album and sell them at fundraising events. I will publish a guide for those who want to do that when the time comes - it's easy. New Song "Ocalan" out NOW!!!

Hi comrades! In case you haven't seen via my Facebook or Twitter pages, I've just released a new song that tells the story of imprisoned Kurdish freedom fighter Abdullah Öcalan. You can listen to the track for free here or download it if you want to support my music. I wrote the song because I feel that the story is interesting and often overlooked. I also discovered that websites like Facebook tend to ban accounts for posting ANYTHING related to Ocalan or the PKK which I find rather disturbing. I mean, regardless of your political opinions and whether or not you consider the man to be a terrorist (more than 140 countries don't while around 49 do), the Kurdish Worker's Party and their movement is an important part of the history of the entire region. Removing even the slightest mention of Ocalan from Facebook stinks for that reason alone. Will the song get my Facebook account banned? Who knows?
